Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scopes, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including risk assessment, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
- Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and external vendors.
- Ensure all state and federal compliance standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of project management best practices within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification is highly required.
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Confluence.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
