Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of major IT projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, and city stakeholders.
- Manage resource allocation and optimize project workflows using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify emerging technologies to improve the efficiency and accessibility of city services.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and city officials.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for technical initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within the public sector or large enterprise.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on public service.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
