Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including city officials, vendors, and technical teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement policies.
- Manage resource allocation and performance metrics for project teams.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and steering committee reviews.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management within the government or public sector.
- Proven experience with methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
