Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, government agencies, and cross-functional teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Implement Agile and Waterfall methodologies to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Conduct regular status reports and presentations to executive leadership.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of departmental best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management within the government or public sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of state procurement processes and regulatory compliance (e.g., GSA, FAR).
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow).
