Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle for major IT infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and city officials, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, budget forecasts, and status updates to executive leadership.
- Ensure all projects adhere to federal and state compliance standards, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) guidelines.
- Mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for external development services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically within the government or public sector environment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly required.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven experience managing budgets over $1M and large, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.
