Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closure) for large-scale government IT initiatives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules in alignment with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, department heads, and diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement policies.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and coordinate resources across multiple teams to drive project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent advanced project management credentials.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing IT projects within the public sector or government contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), or state-specific guidelines.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
