Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with agency goals.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and manage expectations across diverse government departments.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and produce comprehensive progress reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a government or public sector environment.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure or software development projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Louisiana State Government security clearance.
