Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and regulatory compliance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery within defined constraints.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to executive leadership and external partners effectively.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to NY State IT governance policies and procedures.
- Mentor junior project managers and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Project Management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-million dollar budgets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on immediate results.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana.
