Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Direct the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure for large-scale IT infrastructure and software implementation projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, government agencies, and internal departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to state and federal regulations, procurement policies, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: Must hold active PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or a large enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, MS Project, and modern project management tools.
- Residency: Must be a resident of Los Angeles County.
