Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure) for state-wide IT infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations in alignment with state mandates.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with New York State procurement and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or a large government organization.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) or Project Management Professional certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to obtain a New York State NYS-01 fingerprint clearance card.
