Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure and virtualization environments.
- Monitor system performance, health, and security to ensure 99.9% uptime for state services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex network and hardware issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal cybersecurity protocols and standards.
- Manage user access, permissions, and Active Directory administration across multiple domains.
- Document technical configurations, procedures, and system architecture for future maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
- Ability to obtain a State of Texas security clearance.
