Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) for state IT infrastructure projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to executive leadership and external partners effectively.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, procurement policies, and quality standards.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather requirements and drive project scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is required.
- Proven experience managing large-scale software development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
