Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, from initiation to deployment, ensuring alignment with state regulations and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsâincluding engineers, stakeholders, and policy makersâto define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project status, risks, and blockers effectively to executive leadership.
- Oversee the allocation of resources and monitor project schedules to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Implement and enforce project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to drive efficiency and quality assurance.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential technical and regulatory challenges.
- Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and recommending solutions that enhance state service delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the IT or Public Sector.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets and financial forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (e.g., Public Trust).
