Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure) for enterprise-level IT initiatives.
- Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and external vendors, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Manage project budgets, track financial performance, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Facilitate clear communication with executive leadership and City departments to mitigate risks and report progress.
- Identify potential project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years in a government or public sector environment.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 is required.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale software deployments or infrastructure upgrades.
