Responsibilities
- Implement and manage enterprise-level network security protocols to safeguard sensitive federal data.
- Monitor system activity for potential security breaches and respond to incidents with speed and precision.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST/FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure IT solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Manage firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
