Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and cloud services
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and threat mitigation strategies for county-wide systems
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity operations
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and complex troubleshooting for 50+ county departments
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior IT staff and oversee vendor relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and AWS/Azure environments
- Proven experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Valid California driver's license
