Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure and security protocols
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex hardware/software systems and user issues
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and incident response
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with city objectives
- Document system configurations and create technical documentation for compliance
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical bottlenecks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with government/public sector preferred
- Expertise in network administration (Cisco, Juniper), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with ITIL/COBIT methodologies
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance
