Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise networks and infrastructure supporting 50+ city departments
- Lead cloud migration projects for critical public services (eBay, Salesforce, AWS)
- Develop and execute cybersecurity protocols including NIST compliance and threat mitigation
- Manage enterprise systems including Active Directory, VMware, and Microsoft 365
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and incident response for 1,200+ city employees
- Coordinate IT vendor relationships and contract negotiations
- Create technical documentation and SOPs for system operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience in government/public sector
- CompTIA Security+ and AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications required
- Expertise in network security, disaster recovery planning, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced knowledge of Azure, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
- Strong project management skills with PMP or ITIL certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain Virginia Public Safety IT Security clearance
