The Role:
In this position, you will play a critical role in safeguarding national information systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures for federal clients.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing.
- Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP security standards.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, Linux/Windows administration, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for briefing stakeholders.
