Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced cybersecurity protocols and incident response strategies for federal clients.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure strict compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute cybersecurity policies and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and junior analysts regarding security best practices.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on system security status, incident analysis, and compliance audits to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, risk management, or network administration within the federal government or defense sector.
- Professional certification preferred: CISSP, GSEC, CISM, or CEH.
- Deep understanding of network architecture, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
