Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring high availability and security.
- Enforce compliance with FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP security standards to protect sensitive federal data.
- Perform system troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades for hardware and software applications used by federal employees.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential risks.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff regarding cybersecurity best practices and system usage.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new federal technology initiatives and software upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity within a government or federal environment.
- Active Federal Public Trust Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict federal regulations and protocols.
