Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable microservices and cloud-native applications.
- Architect solutions that comply with federal security standards (FedRAMP, FISMA) and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and subject matter experts to define technical requirements.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for software quality assurance.
- Optimize application performance and reliability, ensuring high availability for critical government services.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from backlog refinement to production monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a preference for experience in the public sector or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated ability to work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a suitable Federal background investigation clearance (Public Trust or Secret).
