As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee complex, cross-functional projects that drive innovation across the state. Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of medium-to-large scale technology projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and time constraints.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, business units, and executive leadership to align project goals with organizational objectives.
- Monitor project health using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, implementing corrective actions when necessary to keep initiatives on track.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparency and addressing concerns proactively.
- Conduct regular status reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
- Mentor junior project managers and team leads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in project management within the public sector or large enterprise environments.
- Proven experience managing software development lifecycles (SDLC) and digital transformation projects.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) or Agile Certification (PMP, CAPM, or SAFe) is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.
