Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures supporting state agencies.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve service delivery.
- Document technical configurations, create user manuals, and conduct training sessions for staff.
- Monitor system performance and respond immediately to critical outages or security threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in network administration, systems engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or similar are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and security clearance process.
