Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage complex federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualization environments.
- Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and DoD security directives.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and support personnel.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve system performance.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (favorable background investigation required).
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a government context.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to leadership.
