Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex federal IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to protect classified and sensitive information.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for hardware, software, and network issues, providing 24/7 on-call support during critical operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate emerging technologies.
- Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific IT policies.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and security best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and briefings for senior leadership and oversight committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or cybersecurity within a federal or defense environment.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise environments, including Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven atmosphere.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
