Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of federal IT infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime and system integrity.
- Analyze complex technical requirements and develop scalable solutions in compliance with FISMA and OMB guidelines.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to protect sensitive federal data and ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new software applications and hardware upgrades into existing federal workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance.
- Manage budget allocations for IT projects and procure necessary resources within federal acquisition regulations.
- Document technical processes and create detailed reports for stakeholders and federal auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or cybersecurity within a federal or government environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of federal compliance standards, including NIST, FISMA, and FAR.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure in a high-stakes regulatory environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel for site visits as required.
