Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal network infrastructure during assigned weekend shifts to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
- Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to comply with government standards.
- Respond to and mitigate IT incidents and security alerts with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software solutions and system upgrades.
- Document technical procedures and system configurations for team knowledge sharing.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for internal government staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or federal-specific ITIL are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in government contracting or public sector IT environments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mandatory weekend shifts.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
