About the Role:
You will provide expert technical support and guidance on federal information systems, ensuring compliance with strict government regulations such as FISMA and FedRAMP. Your work will directly impact the security of national financial systems and the delivery of public services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex federal IT systems, including servers, networks, and databases.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal information security policies.
- Conduct system administration tasks including software updates, patch management, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions that meet agency goals.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to junior staff and federal employees.
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to optimize efficiency and resolve issues proactively.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all IT processes and configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT system administration, cybersecurity, or network engineering.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Experience with federal IT regulations, such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
