Key Objectives:
In this role, you will lead technical initiatives, manage cybersecurity protocols, and modernize legacy systems to meet evolving federal standards. Your expertise will ensure that our infrastructure remains resilient against threats while supporting mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect federal networks and sensitive data.
- Oversee the administration and optimization of server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and data centers.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing to ensure OMB and NIST compliance.
- Lead incident response teams to investigate and mitigate security breaches or system outages.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT policies, procedures, and system architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and federal employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, with a strong preference for experience within the federal government sector.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
