Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test secure software applications using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Ensure full compliance with federal security standards, including FISMA and NIST guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architecture, and technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and perform troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) to ensure high availability and scalability for federal workloads.
- Document system architecture, code libraries, and technical processes for future maintenance and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, systems engineering, or a related IT discipline.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one is required.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working within a federal environment or with federal contracting regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
