Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to city employees and citizens via phone, email, and remote access.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline IT workflows and improve user experience.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance.
