Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for complex system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and system architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, networking, or IT infrastructure support.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
