Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of servers, networks, and data centers to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect state data against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- System Optimization: Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for enterprise-level applications and databases.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new IT solutions and upgrade legacy systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulatory compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or higher, and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
