Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the local and wide-area network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and monitor security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Configure and troubleshoot server hardware, virtualization platforms, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and guidance to internal government staff and external contractors.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery drills.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage software licenses, hardware procurement, and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance eligibility.
