Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments and virtualization platforms
- Oversee network security protocols and ensure compliance with NIST/FISMA standards
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid IT environments
- Provide Tier 3 support for critical city systems including public safety platforms
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct system vulnerability assessments
- Lead cross-departmental IT modernization projects
- Maintain documentation for system architecture and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of enterprise IT administration experience
- CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator certifications
- Expertise in Active Directory, SCCM, and VMWare environments
- Experience with government IT compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex system integrations
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work occasional after-hours system maintenance windows
