Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of servers, networks, and hardware systems to ensure high availability.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
- System Optimization: Perform system audits, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize performance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Project Leadership: Lead IT projects related to cloud migration, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to manage service level agreements (SLAs) and hardware procurement.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and internal departments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance: Knowledge of government IT compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
