Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT infrastructure projects and network upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government IT security standards and regulations.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for end-users across various departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract deliverables for technology solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or a related government technology role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal government IT policies and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and the ability to travel to various city facilities.
