Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor advanced security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to protect sensitive federal data.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex network hardware and software, ensuring seamless connectivity for government agencies.
- Conduct regular system audits and security compliance checks to meet strict federal standards.
- Provide expert technical support and mentorship to junior staff members and government stakeholders.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and operational procedures for compliance.
- Lead small-scale IT projects including system upgrades and hardware refreshes.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a significant plus.
