Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for federal employees nationwide
- Develop and document IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Ensure data integrity and secure handling of sensitive veteran information
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and federal security clearance eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT environments
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience with federal IT compliance requirements (FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in remote settings
