Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards (FISMA).
- Oversee virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) to optimize resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and drive infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IP networking.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
