Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure and network systems to ensure high availability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues across the organization.
- Enforce data security protocols and ensure compliance with government regulations (FISMA).
- Lead technical projects and provide mentorship to junior IT staff members.
- Conduct regular system audits, security assessments, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize IT operations and user experience.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
