Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across government facilities.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, and servers to ensure optimal security and performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive government data and intellectual property.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support digital transformation initiatives and software deployments.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certification in Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft System Administration is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and obtain necessary government clearances.
