Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain virtualized server environments and cloud infrastructure using VMware and Azure.
- Monitor system performance, health, and security to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical state applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex network hardware, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end-users and department staff.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions, backup strategies, and data integrity protocols.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and patch management to comply with federal and state standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or VMware Certified Professional are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a suitable background check and necessary security clearances.
