Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other data communications systems, including hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to protect agency data and systems against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Network Optimization: Analyze network performance metrics and optimize network configurations to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification: Active Security+ or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional IT experience, including network administration and system support.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and virtualization technologies.
