Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure solutions for state agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with state policy and compliance standards.
- Conduct thorough system testing, root cause analysis, and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Oversee the security of sensitive government data, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA and state cybersecurity protocols.
- Mentor junior analysts and junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Document technical architecture, processes, and technical specifications in detail.
- Manage vendor relationships for software and hardware procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT systems analysis within the government or public sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, or Python, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with ITIL framework and Agile methodologies.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
