Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus software to protect sensitive government data.
- Perform regular system backups, data recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware peripherals, including printers and scanners.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure hardware and software compatibility and optimal performance.
- Document technical procedures and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Valid CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11.
- Experience with IP networking, TCP/IP, and VLAN configuration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must be able to pass a background check and adhere to government security clearance requirements.
