Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions.
- Conduct system performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with city departments to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, security standards (FISMA), and data privacy laws.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, C#, or Python, and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL are highly desirable.
