Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex IT systems and databases to support government operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols in compliance with state and federal standards (NIST).
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical recommendations for process improvements.
- Train government staff on new software applications and system updates.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage software licensing and hardware procurement.
- Document technical processes and create technical manuals for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis within the public sector or a comparable technical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and government compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
