Responsibilities
- Design and architect complex IT systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure solutions that meet federal security and performance requirements.
- Conduct thorough system analysis to identify vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and recommend architectural improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and security analysts, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Oversee the deployment of hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with existing legacy systems.
- Participate in the creation of technical documentation, including system diagrams, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT architecture, systems engineering, or a related role within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management practices.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or CISSP are highly desirable.
